We're not saying to trash your child's summer reading log...but we're not NOT saying to trash it. (FREE DOWNLOAD!)

Summer reading logs. They mean well — but let’s be honest: they often turn reading into a checklist chore. "Read for 20 minutes. Write the title. Repeat." Where’s the spark? Where’s the magic?
At The Book Club, we believe reading should feel like an adventure — something kids want to do, not something they have to do. That’s why we created a Summer Reading Passport, inspired by the ones we use in our own classes. ✈️🌍
Each time a child reads a new book, they color in a stamp in their passport. The categories are broad, inviting, and fun (think: “a book with a talking animal” or “a book that makes you laugh”). No pressure. Just joy.

Our book club kids absolutely light up when they see how many books they’ve read at the end of a session — and now your child can, too. This digital download makes it easy to encourage variety, excitement, and a love of reading all summer long — using books you already have or can easily grab from your local library.
Reading shouldn't be a task to tick off. It should be a memory-making journey.
👉 Download your free Summer Reading Passport here — and help your child collect stories, not just minutes.
